Elyse & Steven

I absolutely adored everything Elyse had envisioned for her wedding day, and I knew after meeting her we had to work together!!  One of the most important aspects of her wedding was the ceremony chuppah.  We worked together over the course of a year to perfect every detail of this beautiful piece!  I am so glad we did though, because there is something so special about a well thought out ceremony.  This is where the first precious moments of husband and wife will be taking place, and I think this is the most overlooked part of a wedding.  I was so glad Elyse and Steven really understood how sacred this space is, and were willing to put in the effort to make it just right.

The ballroom we created was a really magical transformation, and watching it come together gave me chills.  I had a huge team of talented designers with me, and we made sure no detail was overlooked.  Adding trailing jasmine vines, clustering candles, and making sure the cake was decorated just right…..these were just a few of the the items on our set up list that day!

Of course I loved the color palette we were working with, and Elyse really loved romantic antique garden roses, along with delicate greenery.  We mixed tall and short centerpieces, and used a variety of silver and mercury glass vessels to give the room a soft glow.

Elyse and Steven are just about to celebrate their 1 year anniversary, so I thought it was fitting to post their lovely wedding.  I can’t believe it took so long, but I think it was worth the wait!

Kimberly & Matt

Kimberly and Matt were married at the Darlington House, and I must say, June is the BEST month of the year to get married.  It’s that magic month where spring and summer collide.  Of course we get peonies, but there is also a plethora of other amazing flowers available!  For this wedding we had a color palette of soft pinks, blushes, nudes, ivories and lovely accents of grey.  Peonies, garden roses, cafe au lait dahlias and scabiosa were just a few of the flowers in the bouquets and on the tables.

Enjoy these gorgeous images from Erin Saldana !!

Bre & Kyle

Bre and Kyle…where do I begin?  Over the last year Bre has become an amazing friend.  I love her to pieces.  She is a true gem, and a genuinely sweet, kind hearted soul.  You really don’t come across someone like her very often, so I snatched her as my friend as quickly as I could.

When Bre asked me to travel to her family home to create the flowers for her wedding day I was completely honored.  I have never done flowers outside of the SD, OC, LA area, so traveling to Sacramento was both scary and exciting!

Once I got to her home I was welcomed with open arms to the most beautiful property I have ever seen.  Her family brought me in like I was a part of the family, and it made me feel so at ease.  We had pancakes for breakfast, we cruised the neighbors property to look at some amazing antiques they have stored away, and it was overall just an amazing place to be.  I didn’t want to leave!

I wanted to make Bre’s bouquet extra special, so of course I ordered tons and tons of garden roses and peonies, and made it as large as my hands could hold.  Bre’s dad hand made each farm table, as well as her ceremony ladder arch– what a guy!   I used small vintage glass, milk glass, blue and pink glass, along with tarnished silver pieces from her moms amazing collection.  Each had unique combinations of peonies, garden roses, astilbe, waxflower, spirea (one of my faves), astrantia, cafe au lait dahlias, babies breath, and hypericum berries.

Honestly though, the flowers were just  a tiny part of the special day.  Bre and Kyle’s wedding ceremony was heartfelt and truly beautiful.  I cried like a baby.  Their love story and love for God is so unique and inspiring.  I walked away from their wedding brimming with fulfillment and joy.

Bre is also a wedding coordinator herself. Her attention to detail is impeccable, and she has several years of planning under her belt. You must check her out if you are looking for a wedding planner…… Joyful Weddings and Events.

Lauren & Taylor: Featured on Green Wedding Shoes

Lauren and Taylor were married at Condor’s Nest Ranch.  It’s one of those venues that I  feel so connected to.  The scenery and surroundings are gorgeous and the venue has so many quirky, fun little areas to run off to.  I’m sure Katie from Swoon by Katie had fun cruising around the property with this super fun couple.

Lauren has such great taste.  Working with her was a dream because she kept her vision simple, and she gave me pretty much full reign of the floral choices.  I was so happy with the results.  We used dahlias, succulents, garden roses, lisianthus, scabiosa pods, seeded eucalyptus, and dusty miller.  EEK SO PRETTY!

Lauren & Sean

This wedding took place at Leo Carrillo Ranch, in Carlsbad. I love this quaint farm style location! The peacocks are always just hanging around, and I enjoy their company when we set up. Lauren and Sean were one of the sweetest, easy going couples I have ever worked with. Lauren put all her trust in me, and let me do my thing. I just adore her for that.

I got to use some of my fave flowers here: hyacinth, veronica, ranunculus, juliet garden roses, and chamomile daisies.

The stunning images below were taken by the beautiful and oh so talented Jill Thomas.

Vi & Andrew

Vi and Andrew were married at  Twin Oaks Garden Estate.  It’s one of my favorite venues because it’s so quaint and has such a gorgeous natural setting.  There are tons of cute details around the property- including cute vintage couches, tables, and little hutches everywhere. There are adorable rose bushes, hydrangea bushes, and eucalyptus trees everywhere.

We used juliet garden roses, cafe au lait dahlias, antique old dutch roses, white kale, lavender lisianthus, and seeded eucalyptus greens in all the arrangements and bouquets.

These lovely images were taken by the talented Mary at Floataway Studios.  She did such an amazing job capturing that quaint, simple feel, of this wedding. I love how ethereal everything looks!!

The Crosby

The ladies at Two Rings and a Dress did an amazing job with these images!!

This photoshoot was featured in Ceremony Magazine, and we were so honored to be in this lovely mag for the last several years!!  The Crosby is an absolutely beautiful location for a wedding.  It’s so private, and the grounds are lush, green, and beyond stunning.

Don’t you just love the juxtaposition of the succulents, wood boxes with the feminine lace and blush tones?  It’s my fave. We used heleborus, cafe au latte dahlias, snowberries, bay leaves, and roses.

Jenn’s baby shower

ImageImageImageImageImageImageMy super adorable long time friend is having a baby girl!  I have known Jenn since jr. high — when she had frizzy bangs and wore overalls (ok- we both did).  I love her to death, and could not have been more excited to help host her baby shower last month!  I thought everything turned out super darling- I love the soft feminine ranunculus, paired with the super fragrant hyacinth, and finished with camellia leaves.  Honestly, during winter there are some gorgeous blooms that get me super jazzed.  Yay for babies!!

A few images from Heather & Chris’ wedding :: Featured on Style Me Pretty

Heather & Chris were married at The Darlington House this past August. I had the privilege of working there 4 times this past year!! I really do love it- the set up is so easy! Each wedding we’ve been a part of has been supercharged with charm and details- just what we love. These images were taken by Heather at Vallentyne Photography. She did a great job of capturing all the little fun details. Jessica Beltran of Moira Events was awesome! She brought in so many of her own props, and really helped with those finishing touches.
